Chuck Close Assignment

I got bored applying random filters and decided to see how chuck close made some of his other style portraits; i found some good info and decided to do my portrait in a similar process as used here, with his scribble/etching portrait.

after trying out several filters i ended up using the stamp tool to create 45+ layers, each new layer with less and less of the original image so only a little bit of the previous layer is not covered, then went through and colored each layer in a sort of "oil reflection" color scheme. The background used ended up being way too distracting and was replaced with a pure white one. it's not quite what i was originally going for but i like what i ended up with.
